Welcome to United Nations Association of Australia ACT

The UNAA is a non-profit, non-government, community organization working to promote the aims and ideals of the United Nations, and seek support for the UN, its programs and agencies. It has divisions within all of the States and Territories of Australia, with the national office run out of Canberra. Its national president is Major General (ret'd) Michael Smith.

UNAA ACT runs regular events in Canberra on topics relating to peace and security, human rights, international justice and sustainable development. Membership entitles you to members' rates for events, and occasional members-only events. Membership fees are used to fund events locally.

We are a growing community of people interested in the objectives of the United Nations, and bring together individuals with unique experience, including defence, civil service, academia and community organisations.

Our Young Professionals group runs events tailored for those seeking a career in the United Nations and international service.
